How it works
ResurFX uses a patent-pending CoolScan™ scanner with continuous contact cooling, protecting tissue from overheating while delivering controlled micro-injuries into the deep dermis to stimulate collagen production. Because the epidermis stays intact, downtime is generally lower than with other ablative resurfacing treatments.
What to expect
Most patients benefit from a series of three treatments spaced 3–4 weeks apart, with results continuing to improve for a month or more afterward. Many return once or twice a year to maintain results.
During treatment there’s mild discomfort and stinging, eased with topical anaesthetic. Skin will feel warm for a few hours, with swelling settling over the following hours to 1–2 days, and redness typically resolving within 1–3 days (occasionally leaving a residual pink or bronze tone for up to a week). Blistering, scabbing or bruising is rare and self-limiting; scarring is extremely rare.
